Intimate data

Intimate data explores the idea of turning personal data from commodities in to social and sharable resources. Our data becomes a new tangible material that can be freely used and shared with others to enable empathy and altruism.

Our data is expressed as materials we can carry with us. Because we are almost constantly generating data, its physical material should also shifts and morphs in real time.

When we meet someone new, instead of checking each other's profile first, we offer our own data to others as a token of our trust.

Created in one week during a wearable summer workshop at CIID in 2014. In collaboration with Rosa Mariela Fierro and YuanMo Xie.
